KILIMANJARO - TRAILER

Ledabolo conquered Africa’s highest peak, Kilimanjaro, only in five days. Every day we try to bring in short documentary-authentic episodes. We will go from the foot of the mountain in the green rainforest to the arctic passages of Africa in very difficult conditions.

DAY 1

KILIMANJARO DAY 1

Kilimanjaro is divided into five zones. In the first part, we start in a populated zone, go through the gate to the park area, cross 11 km across the rainforest and reach the border of the 2nd and 3rd zones. There we have the opportunity to take a shower, which is quite a surprise.

DAY 2

KILIMANJARO DAY 2

In the second part, the forest is very quickly a thing of the past, just like in reality in the present, and we find ourselves in a more rocky environment. So far, we are continuing without any serious problems. After a few hours of walking, we arrive at the quite post-apocalyptic-looking place of Shira cave camp. In the end, an unexpected, very pleasant dating party awaits us.

DAY 3

KILIMANJARO DAY 3

The third part requires patience and openness to the perception of the atmosphere.

The fairytale like begin when we find ourselves highest in our lives. The trip and short t-shirt is transformed into a winter outfit and a serious decision that we have decided to take a few days back. Kilimanjaro is a world extreme.

We finished the part by camping with a beautiful view under the steep Baranco wall, which we have to conquer in the morning.

It is also worth mentioning the endemic very rare trees with dendrosenecio kilimanjari.

DAY 4

KILIMANJARO - THE PEAK

The fourth day is the longest in itself. The journey begins early in the morning, we are happy to conquer the Baranco wall and head to the base camp of Kilimanjaro. It’s an endless 10 kilometers walk. Eduard already with real shoes.

The day seems to end with a long-awaited experience from Africa, snow. You can only wish to have a tent just below the top of Kilimanjaro, sleep well and conquer it.

That’s exactly what we did, but it wasn’t that easy at all. Going to bed on instruction is not easy at all, getting up before midnight is not easy at all, putting on endless piecess of clothes is not easy at all, set off and 6 hours of walking in the dark at high altitude is not easy at all.

The fourth day is one and a half days long, if not the whole 2 days long. We consider it the most difficult test of our lives. And it was worth it.

WE HAVE DONE IT!

A part in which we describe our feelings from the highest place in Africa.

We will also describe the way down, we managed it quite quickly.

TO ZANZIBAR BY BUS

With this section, we will complete our journey across Tanzania. Overall, it was exceptional, but this conclusion is also worth it. 12 hours by bus, perfect program for the evening, 2 hours by ferry to Zanzibar .. etc etc. It is already bad and nervous for us, but everything is falling casually well.
